Shot Scope V5

The V5 answers whether you can get automatic shot tracking at a mid-market price, and the answer is mostly yes: 16 RFID tags, automatic detection, full hole maps for 36,000 courses, 100-plus stats, and Strokes Gained, with no subscription. The difference from the X5 is the display, a full-color sunlight-readable LCD with four buttons rather than a touchscreen. That reads better in direct sun for some players and navigates less fluidly for others. GPS battery covers a standard round comfortably, and at this price it is the best value in automatic shot tracking.
