Cleveland RTX ZipCore
wedge|2022
Caddyroom Take
The RTX ZipCore at 58 degrees with a C grind and 10 degrees of bounce is a 2022-vintage head that Cleveland kept in the lineup alongside the newer RTX6 because the ZipCore's internal geometry produces a different spin profile at the same spec numbers. Ten degrees of bounce on a 58-degree is notable for a lob wedge, since it limits how aggressively you can open the face without bouncing out of a sand trap, which is the intended tradeoff for a player who needs the higher bounce to survive soft course conditions. It is not the right 58-degree for golfers playing links-style firm turf.
