Callaway Rogue ST Max
iron|2022
Caddyroom Take
The Rogue ST Max was Callaway's most-played iron in 2022 and continued the Rogue lineage of putting 62 grams of tungsten as low and far back as the construction allowed. Urethane microspheres in the cavity improved feel relative to the prior Apex generation, and the 450 steel body provided a solid address look for a game-improvement iron. At 27.5 degrees of 7-iron loft this is one of the stronger-lofted GI irons of its era, so distance numbers look favorable in back-of-box comparisons that do not account for loft. For the used buyer who wants a 2022 GI iron, the Rogue ST Max is one of the more common models in secondary inventory, which keeps pricing competitive.
